Associate Attorney General Practice

Profile

A law firm seeks an associate attorney to support clients across Champaign, Hardin, Logan, and Union counties in Ohio. The successful candidate will handle a broad spectrum of matters—from family law and landlord-tenant disputes to business litigation and probate—within a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Duties

• Manage civil litigation matters, including small claims, contract disputes, and landlord-tenant actions.

• Handle family law matters such as divorces, custody proceedings, and support modifications.

• Represent clients in criminal cases, personal injury claims, and collections actions.

• Oversee real estate transactions, including purchase agreements, title issues, and closings.

• Administer probate matters from estate opening through asset distribution.

Requirements

• 0–5 years of legal experience across one or more general practice areas.

• Demonstrated initiative in developing client relationships and practice growth.

• Ability to juggle multiple matters and adapt to changing priorities.

• Willingness to serve clients in one of the firm’s four Ohio offices and participate in community outreach.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to the Ohio Bar and in good standing.

Skills

• Strong legal research and analytical abilities.

• Excellent drafting and oral advocacy.

• Proficiency with docket management and case-management software.

• Effective interpersonal skills and client-service orientation.
