A law firm seeks an Environmental Attorney in Troy to perform general duties including advising clients on environmental compliance, creating and reviewing legal documents, and managing legal transactions in environmental practice areas.

Duties

• Advise on permitting, compliance, enforcement actions, and remedial requirements.
• Author legal memoranda, briefs, motions, discovery, contracts, and regulatory agreements.
• Research environmental, land use, or administrative law at federal, state, and local levels.

Requirements

• 4-6+ years of experience in federal and state environmental and land use law.
• Experience with CERCLA, RCRA, CWA, CAA, TSCA, FIFRA, and Michigan NREPA equivalents.
• Experience representing clients in minimizing environmental liability risks.
• Admitted to the state bar of Michigan or eligible for admission.
• Portable book of business preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admitted to the state bar of Michigan.
