Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking a Business Transactional Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join its growing corporate practice. This role is designed for a Texas-licensed attorney with a strong transactional background, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ambition to build a book of business. The ideal candidate is active in the transactional legal community and has established or emerging relationships with attorneys in large law firms.

Location:

• Houston, Texas

Duties:

• Work on a variety of corporate and business transactions, including M&A, commercial contracts, and entity formation

• Draft and negotiate transactional documents and agreements

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex deal structuring and client matters

• Participate in client meetings and support relationship development

• Conduct legal due diligence and risk assessments

• Contribute to firm growth by pursuing business development and networking activities

• Engage with the broader transactional legal community to build visibility and connections

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in transactional or corporate law

• Licensed to practice law in Texas (required)

• Demonstrated interest in business development and practice growth

• Active participation in the legal or business transactional community

• Existing or developing relationships with attorneys in large law firms

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Texas

Skills:

• Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal analysis skills

• Business acumen and strategic thinking

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
