Profile

A law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking an IP Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of patent prosecution experience. The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field. Extensive experience in patent prosecution is necessary, with experience in PTAB proceedings being a plus.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct patent prosecution activities, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to intellectual property matters.
  • Prepare responses to office actions and other patent-related correspondence.
  • Assist with patent portfolio management and strategy.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on patent-related issues.
  • Assist with PTAB proceedings, if applicable.

 

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in Texas.
  • 3-5 years of patent prosecution experience.

 

Education and Certifications:

Skills:
