A law firm seeks an experienced litigation associate in Brooklyn, NY. This hybrid position requires in-person court appearances as needed. The role involves managing complex commercial disputes with minimal supervision, working directly with senior attorneys, and contributing positively to the team environment.

Duties

• Execute assigned legal tasks under the direction of senior attorneys.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
• Assist with deposition and trial preparation.
• Participate in court appearances and client communications.
• Follow established case strategies and firm policies.
• Receive and implement feedback to improve work product.
• Produce high-quality work and take ownership of assigned matters.

Requirements

• Minimum five to seven years of commercial/business litigation experience.
• Ability to manage a caseload from pre-litigation through trial.
• Trial experience is a plus.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Professional judgment and discretion in client-facing matters.
• New York Bar License required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in New York.
