Job Title: Senior Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a Senior Attorney with significant experience in civil litigation in state and federal courts. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills and proficiency in conducting and defending depositions, managing case dockets, and appearing in court. Trial experience is highly desirable, and familiarity with multi-district litigation is advantageous.

Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
• Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in physical and sedentary activities, such as working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience with civil litigation in state and federal courts.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience conducting and defending depositions.
• Proven ability in managing a case docket.
• Demonstrated experience appearing in court.
• Trial experience preferred.
• Experience with multi-district litigation is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
