A law firm seeks a dedicated and motivated Associate Attorney to join its St. Louis, MO office. Duties:

• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Review client documents, draft case evaluations, and prepare status reports.
• Assist in mediation, pretrial settlement conferences, and court appearances.
• Interact with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, and colleagues to manage case progress.
• Manage and oversee a substantive caseload from start to finish.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in Missouri.
• Proficient in legal research tools (e.g., Lexis) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and drafting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional demeanor in court and during interactions with clients and opposing counsel.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the Missouri State Bar.

Skills:

• Expertise in legal drafting and case preparation.
• Strong research and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and client management skills.
