Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its Chicago, IL office to join the insurance coverage practice. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in insurance coverage litigation, with a preference for first-party coverage experience.

Duties

• Manage insurance coverage cases from inception through trial.
• Draft substantive legal motions in state and federal courts.
• Conduct depositions and examinations under oath.
• Provide legal research and author coverage opinions.
• Advise claims personnel and in-house counsel on insurance matters.

Requirements

• Licensed in Illinois and applicable federal district court.
• Minimum of four years of law licensure and three years of insurance coverage experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to provide writing samples, including deposition transcripts and motions.
• Strong research and analytical skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Illinois.
