Duties

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various cases and legal issues.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients.
• Manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals on case strategy.
• Prepare and file petitions with discovery, and conduct depositions and mediations.
• Handle contested motions and negotiate settlements.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar association in Texas.
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide effective solutions.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Prior experience in litigation is preferred but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications
