This position is ideal for a legal professional with a strong foundation in handling high-value commercial real estate transactions, including development, acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing. Duties:

• Manage complex real estate transactions from inception to closing with minimal oversight

• Draft, review, and negotiate documents related to:

  • Property acquisitions and sales

  • Commercial leasing agreements

  • Real estate financing arrangements

  • Title and survey matters

  • Land use and zoning issues

  • Construction-related documentation

• Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to facilitate development projects

• Advise on joint venture structures and related documentation

• Provide thorough and strategic legal counsel within a fast-paced and evolving practice

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of post-JD experience in commercial real estate law

• Demonstrated ability to independently handle a wide range of real estate transactions

• Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills

• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication capabilities

• Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Illinois State Bar, or eligibility for prompt admission

Skills:

• Deep understanding of commercial real estate law, including development, construction, and financing

• Proficiency in title and survey analysis

• Effective negotiation and client engagement skills

• Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail
