Should have a Juris Doctorate. 5 year(s) of progressively responsible post-qualification legal experience in the field of corporate law, either at a recognized law firm (or a combination of law firm and in-house). Admitted to practice law in at least one US state and is in good standing. Possessing experience in general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions and contracting, regulatory analysis, corporate governance. Understanding, in the context of commercial contracting/transactions, of credit/financing matters, corporate secretarial matters, cross-border contracting, employment/tax/IP matters. Identifying legal issues in business proposals proactively. Assessing legal risk, propose solutions and escalate important issues to firm leadership. Working independently and on a time-sensitive basis, and to manage multiple competing priorities. Translating complex legal and regulatory issues for a business audience. Managing teams of internal staff and outside counsel, and oversee complex projects; and, Demonstrating legal negotiation, analysis and drafting skills.
