A law firm seeks a highly qualified and motivated litigation attorney to join its Health Care Professional Liability practice group in Kansas City. This off-track position offers an exceptional opportunity to work closely with attorneys and clients, focusing on the nuances of healthcare liability.

Duties:

• Manage all aspects of medical malpractice and personal injury cases from initial investigation through trial preparation.
• Draft and review legal documents, including discovery requests and motions.
• Conduct depositions, both taking and defending witnesses.
• Represent clients in court appearances and related legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with team members to develop effective case strategies.

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, or related civil litigation.
• Proven track record of managing casework and trial preparation.
• Strong legal writing and communication skills, demonstrated through competitive law school performance.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in Kansas or Missouri.

Skills:

• High-level analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
