A law firm seeks an experienced Trial Attorney to join its personal injury team in Lexington, KY. This remote role involves representing clients throughout Kentucky and requires an active Kentucky Bar license in good standing. The attorney will manage a caseload from filing through discovery, hearings, mediations, and trial, demonstrating strong courtroom skills and a commitment to client service.

Duties

• Represent clients in personal injury cases from initial litigation through settlement or verdict.
• Draft and file litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Handle mediations, hearings, and trial proceedings, including jury selection, opening/closing statements, and examinations.
• Collaborate with paralegals and litigation support staff for thorough case preparation.

Requirements

• Active membership in the Kentucky Bar, in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years of litigation/trial experience in personal injury or related areas.
• Strong negotiation, advocacy, and courtroom skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Kentucky Bar license.
