Duties:

• Represent clients in divorce proceedings, custody disputes, and child support matters

• Prepare and file legal documents, including petitions, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements

• Participate in mediations, pretrial conferences, and hearings

• Conduct legal research to support case strategies and assess applicable statutes and precedents

• Communicate with clients to provide updates, legal advice, and strategy discussions

• Work collaboratively with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure case progress

• Maintain accurate records, billing logs, and documentation for each matter handled

• Negotiate settlements and agreements that align with client goals and legal standards

Requirements:

• Substantive family law experience

• Courtroom and litigation experience handling contested family law matters

• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on compassion and client support

• Proven ability to manage multiple active cases independently

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Indiana and good standing

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• An active Indiana State Bar license is required
