A prominent law firm located in San Francisco, CA, is actively seeking a licensed attorney with foundational experience in labor and employment law. The role centers on representing employers in a wide range of employment disputes, including both individual and class-based claims. Ideal candidates will bring litigation experience and a proactive approach to advising on workplace-related legal matters. Duties:

• Handle single-plaintiff employment litigation matters, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful termination disputes

• Assist with class actions and representative lawsuits under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA)

• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses

• Argue motions before courts and administrative bodies

• Conduct and defend depositions

• Support administrative hearings when applicable

• Develop employee handbooks and workplace policies

• Lead or support employee training programs on legal compliance

• Offer day-to-day legal guidance to corporate clients on employment practices

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in employment litigation and related areas

• Admitted to practice in California

• Strong written and verbal advocacy skills

• Proficient in legal research and drafting

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters concurrently

• Capable of collaborating in a fast-paced team environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Must be an active member in good standing with the California State Bar

Skills:

• Litigation strategy and case management

• Legal writing and oral argument skills

• Familiarity with California labor statutes and PAGA

• Attention to detail and time management

• Interpersonal communication and client relationship building
