A law firm seeks an experienced Trusts and Estates Attorney to join their practice in Holland, MI. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of over 30 attorneys and paralegals, advising clients on complex estate planning, trust administration, wealth preservation, business succession, and probate litigation.

Duties

• Develop comprehensive estate plans tailored to clients' needs and goals.
• Advise clients on tax implications and strategies to minimize liabilities.
• Handle probate processes, including court proceedings and asset distribution.
• Manage and administer trusts in compliance with laws and agreements.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in estate planning, tax law, probate law, and trust law.
• Experience assisting families and individuals with estate planning needs.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex legal concepts.
• Ability to actively listen and provide aligned legal advice.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex situations.
• Precision in drafting legal documents to reflect clients' intentions.
• Handles sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the state of Michigan.

Skills

• 10+ years of experience in estate planning, trust and estate settlement, and related tax and corporate matters.
