The ideal candidate will handle various disputes, including shareholder and partnership disputes, financial transactions, creditors' rights matters, and real estate litigation. This role demands strong writing and analytical skills, alongside the ability to thrive under pressure while supervising junior associates.

Duties:

• Manage complex commercial litigation cases from inception to resolution, ensuring high-quality legal representation.
• Conduct all phases of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and managing document review processes.
• Attend court conferences and hearings, effectively representing clients in various legal proceedings.
• Lead depositions and interviews with witnesses and experts to gather critical information.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates, fostering professional growth and development within the team.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide strategic legal advice tailored to their situations.
• Stay current with legal developments and best practices in commercial litigation and related fields.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• License to practice law in good standing in the State of New York.
• 4-8 years of experience in commercial litigation and/or Trusts & Estates matters.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client interaction.
• Experience in trial settings is highly desirable; knowledge in Trusts & Estates litigation or Employment Practices litigation is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in New York State.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and litigation software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
