The role involves handling a diverse range of insurance defense legal matters, including general liability, construction/labor law, premises liability, automobile liability, trucking/transportation liability, and municipality liability. The Attorney will manage cases from inception to conclusion, providing thorough legal analysis and drafting legal documents.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case development and analysis.
• Draft, review, and analyze legal documents including pleadings and motions.
• Advise clients on a broad spectrum of legal issues.
• Recommend and negotiate settlements effectively on behalf of clients.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations.
• Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines.
• Stay current on evolving laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of diverse legal fields including general liability and construction/labor law.
• Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Experience with case management and time entries.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the state bar.
