Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a motivated associate attorney with a background in structured finance and derivatives. The role is ideal for a legal professional with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in complex financial instruments, regulatory compliance, and transactional documentation under ISDA frameworks. Duties:

• Draft, review, and negotiate ISDA documentation, including:

  • Master Agreements

  • Schedules

  • Credit Support Annexes

  • Confirmations

• Navigate U.S. regulatory protocols related to Dodd-Frank and similar ISDA regimes

• Advise on over-the-counter derivatives and structured products

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on high-value finance transactions

• Support client development through legal analysis and strategic insights

• Conduct legal research on issues involving structured finance, derivatives, and financial regulation

• Assist with risk management, legal due diligence, and transaction closing processes

• Contribute to knowledge-sharing and legal innovation initiatives within the team

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of focused experience in structured finance and derivative transactions

• Prior work experience at a large, nationally recognized law firm

• Deep familiarity with ISDA documentation and protocols

• Understanding of financial markets regulatory frameworks, including Dodd-Frank

• Proven ability to manage complex documentation and regulatory matters

• Willingness to work in a hybrid model with both in-office and remote flexibility

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active and good standing member of the Maryland Bar, or eligible to waive in
