Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its litigation group in Parsippany, NJ. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work remotely and collaborate with a dynamic team of attorneys and staff. The successful candidate will possess exceptional writing, research, and litigation skills.

Duties

• Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action.
• Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositions.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests.
• Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses.
• Prepare for and attend trials.
• Travel may be required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience with an emphasis in insurance defense.
• Familiarity with handling civil cases from beginning to end.
• Experience taking and defending depositions, including 30(b)(6) and experts.
• Proficiency in drafting and arguing substantive motions, attending hearings, and trials.
• Participation in negotiations and mediations.

Education

• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in the state of NJ.
