Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Chicago, IL, is actively seeking a driven and passionate Personal Injury Attorney to join its team. The role involves providing comprehensive legal representation to clients in personal injury cases, ranging from initial consultations to trials. The ideal candidate will be a skilled litigator with a strong background in personal injury law, excellent negotiation abilities, and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients. Duties:

• Represent clients in personal injury matters, including auto accidents, premises liability, and more.
• Manage personal injury cases through the entire legal process, including pre-suit activities.
• Oversee and handle the legal process from case initiation to discovery and pre-trial motions.
• Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, demands, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Guide clients through the legal process, ensuring they understand every step.
• Work with expert witnesses for consultations, affidavits, and report drafting.
• Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances, advocating for clients during all stages of litigation.
• Negotiate settlements for clients, balancing risks and outcomes, while maintaining readiness for trial when necessary.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• An active member in good standing with the Illinois Bar.
• 1-3 years of personal injury law experience, preferably in litigation.
• Proven ability to manage a high caseload and achieve favorable results.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• An active member in good standing with the Illinois Bar.

Skills:

• Strong communication and client service skills, with a client-centered approach.
• Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Proficient in case management software and legal research tools.
