Workers Compensation Secretary / Medical Clerk

The candidate will be handling all assignments as requested that are related to medical appointments from start to finish, which can include transcribing dictation. Scheduling of medical exams, including preparation of the notice of examination, preparation of medical addendum, requesting mileage check from a client, scheduling interpreter and transportation when warranted, follow-up and confirmation of each party scheduled, as well as confirmation of attendance of exam by applicant. Photocopying medical records and/or burning medicals onto CDs to send to a doctor. Maintain medical appointment spreadsheet to ensure timeliness of all aspects of medical appointment process from start to finish. Communicate with outside parties and vendors. Handle tasks related to the medical file as requested. Maintain diary system through Merus. Special assignments as requested by the Office Supervisor. Complete assignments as requested by the Office Supervisor. Should have 1 year of experience in Workers' Compensation handling tasks. Must possess the ability to multi-task with advanced problem-solving skills, clear and concise communication skills, and the ability to follow direction and carry out instructions within company guidelines.
