Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join its New York, NY office. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse employer client base, handling a mix of litigation and day-to-day counseling matters.

Duties

• Represent employers in federal and state employment litigation, including discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, and restrictive covenant matters.
• Provide proactive advice and counseling on hiring, discipline, termination, accommodations, wage and hour compliance, and general employee-relations issues.
• Draft and update employment agreements, handbooks, and workplace policies.
• Assist clients with trainings, investigations, and compliance initiatives.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of employment law experience, including both litigation and counseling.
• Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage matters independently and work collaboratively with a team.
• Admission to the New York Bar is required.
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar is preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York Bar.
