Job Overview:
A reputable law firm based in Springfield, MO, is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney. This role is ideal for a proactive, dynamic individual with a comprehensive background in managing complex commercial insurance coverage disputes. The successful candidate will join the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group, bringing a diverse legal perspective and a client-centered approach to supporting commercial insurance litigation.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and case analysis to support litigation matters.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Represent clients in various legal proceedings, including court appearances, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Maintain and manage a diverse caseload, ensuring effective prioritization and management of each case.
• Collaborate closely with senior partners on intricate litigation matters.
• Engage in effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and all other parties involved in the litigation process.
• Participate actively in case planning and strategy discussions.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with a record of academic excellence.
• Admission to the Missouri State Bar.
• 5+ years of experience in insurance coverage litigation.
• Experience with all stages of complex commercial litigation, including conducting factual investigations, discovery, depositions, and mediations.
• Proven experience representing clients in matters involving various types of commercial insurance coverage, such as general liability, pollution liability, marine, directors and officers, professional liability, and errors and omissions.

Education

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Missouri State Bar (required).
