Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Lateral/Experienced Associate to join the Casualty and Mass Tort Litigation Practice Group in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and a desire to work in a dynamic environment.

Duties

• Collaborate with partners on all phases of litigation, including investigations, case reporting, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Independently manage a caseload from inception to resolution.
• Conduct depositions and handle court appearances regularly.
• Lead client communications and provide meaningful updates.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of general litigation experience.
• Extensive experience in depositions, motion writing, and discovery responses.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain client and referral relationships.
• Must be in good standing with the LA and TX State Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas and Louisiana.
