Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney in Minneapolis, MN. The role involves working on individual cases within the Fair Credit Reporting Act department. Candidates admitted in any US jurisdiction are welcome to apply.

Duties

• Assist in identifying and developing new cases by engaging with potential clients and evaluating relevant documents and legal theories.
• Conduct factual and legal research.
• Draft pleadings, pretrial motions, and briefs.
• Participate in discovery, including drafting written discovery, conducting meet and confer sessions, and preparing for depositions.
• Assist in trial preparation.
• Manage a caseload of individual Fair Credit Reporting Act cases in federal district courts nationwide after training.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in civil litigation, including discovery and motion practice.
• Experience and knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act preferred.
• Strong academic credentials and robust analytical, research, writing, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction, preferably Minnesota, Pennsylvania, or California.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the United States.
