A law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Of Counsel for their Sacramento office.

Job Overview:

The Employment Litigation Of Counsel will defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims, advise and counsel employers on employment and labor law issues, and represent employers in various legal proceedings.

Duties:

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving employment-related claims and agency charges
• Advise, counsel, and train employers on employment and labor law issues
• Represent employers in court, arbitration, administrative agencies, and mediations in employment matters
• Handle class/collective actions and cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete agreements
• Preferably, possess experience with class actions and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims
• Supervise associate and paralegal work, including delegating assignments and providing feedback
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of current agency procedures at both state and federal levels
• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
• Pay close attention to detail and uphold a commitment to excellence
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Possess strong organizational, time management, and project management skills

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
• Current California Bar admission in good standing
• 9+ years of experience in employment litigation, with significant experience managing and running litigation cases in a first-chair capacity
