This full-time position will involve preparing cases for trial, drafting motions, filing petitions, managing a litigation docket with support staff, and handling other litigation duties. Duties

• Prepare litigation cases for trial.
• Draft and file petitions.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties.
• Perform legal analysis on case issues and evidence.
• Draft motions and responses to opposing counsel’s motions.
• Manage a litigation docket and coordinate with support staff.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas State Bar license.
• Ability to travel up to 20% for case management and court appearances.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Texas State Bar license in good standing.

Skills

• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in personal injury law is required.
• Trial experience is preferred.
• Prosecutor background is a plus.
