A law firm seeks a Trusts & Estates Associate to join its Fargo, ND office. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong interest in estate planning, offering an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and those with up to 2 years of experience. The successful applicant will have a background in finance, accounting, or business.

Duties

• Assist clients with estate planning, including the preparation of wills, trusts, and other related documents.
• Conduct legal research to support estate planning strategies and provide sound advice to clients.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop customized estate plans that meet clients' needs.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations.
• Build and nurture client relationships through effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• 0-3 years of experience in estate planning or a related field.
• Background in finance, accounting, or business is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster client relationships.
• Strong academic performance and professional credentials.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with the ability to obtain admission in North Dakota promptly.
