Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Las Vegas, Nevada, to manage litigated matters with a focus on defensive litigation involving residential real estate, title to real property, mortgages, and foreclosure. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and oral advocacy skills and experience in all aspects of civil litigation.

Duties

• Manage all aspects of contested litigation related to mortgage servicing and foreclosure.
• Handle pre-litigation cases and assist with clearing title to real property.
• Prepare case analyses and advise clients on strategies.
• Draft court pleadings and motions.
• Conduct discovery, including taking and defending depositions.
• Travel throughout Nevada as needed.
• Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and court appearances.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Member of the Nevada State Bar, maintaining all necessary licensing and continuing legal education.
• 2-8 years of litigation experience in real estate or mortgage servicing preferred.
• Knowledge of foreclosure processes preferred.
