Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Civil Litigation Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defending civil litigation cases, exceptional research and writing skills, and trial experience. This role requires a licensed attorney in Nevada with a strong work ethic, the ability to manage case files independently, and an interest in marketing and client development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Defend clients in civil litigation cases, including preparing and presenting legal arguments, managing case files, and representing clients in court.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies and prepare legal documents.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents; prepare and argue pre-trial motions and discovery requests.
• Handle all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment through trial and appeals.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to ensure efficient case management.
• Participate in trial proceedings, including presenting evidence, examining witnesses, and making legal arguments.
• Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and clients.
• Contribute to marketing and client development efforts to expand the firm’s client base and business opportunities.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience defending civil litigation cases.
• Currently licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to independently manage case files and responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to present complex legal arguments clearly.
• Exceptional research and writing skills for drafting legal documents and preparing case materials.
• Interest in marketing and client development to contribute to the firm's growth.
• Trial experience is required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Nevada.

Skills:
