A law firm seeks an associate attorney in Brentwood, TN, to join their Nashville Assessment Recovery group. Duties

• Manage a high project load and administrative staff.
• Independently handle all assigned cases in a diverse case load.
• Chair client corporate meetings.
• Manage electronic task lists and billing.
• Advise clients on the status of cases.
• Draft complaints and answers, conduct discovery, and prepare witnesses.
• Take and defend depositions, engage in motion practice, and conduct trial preparation and trials.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice law in Tennessee.
• 0-5 years of relevant litigation experience in real estate, corporate, or contract law, or in representing governmental organizations in litigation-based civil matters.
• Demonstrated dedication and hard work in prior work experience.
• Experience using a Microsoft operating system and other sophisticated software.
• Availability during business hours, as well as some evenings and weekends for client meetings.
• Excellent personal skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Tennessee.
