A law firm seeks a Labor and Employment Associate Attorney in Miami Lakes, FL. This position offers an opportunity for a hybrid schedule after the initial training period. The firm represents employers in complex employment litigation, arbitration, and advisory matters across Florida and beyond.

Duties

• Handle all phases of employment litigation in state and federal court.
• Draft and respond to pleadings and motions, including dispositive motions.
• Manage written discovery and take/defend depositions.
• Prepare for and participate in mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Represent employers in matters involving Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FCRA, USERRA, and more.
• Communicate directly with clients and serve as a key point of contact.
• Assist with case strategy, risk assessment, and client counseling.
• Collaborate closely with the managing partner and litigation team.

Requirements

• Approximately 3-5 years of civil litigation experience, preferably with some employment law experience.
• Federal court experience required.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently and meet deadlines.
• Professional judgment, attention to detail, and strong client-service orientation.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license and good standing with the Florida Bar.
