Senior Infrastructure and Ops Engineer

The candidate will ensure that systems for the Firm, to include global integration points and Cloud systems are available and functioning properly at all times. Evaluate, design, build, manage, monitor and operate the firm’s infrastructure systems and environments. Under the responsibility of the Infrastructure & Operations department are the supporting services that enable the delivery of customer-facing IT services. Perform hands-on configurations, create and maintain system documentation, and transfer knowledge to others in the department. Develop detailed designs and strategies around the Firm’s infrastructure and cloud technologies, participate and/or lead disaster recovery planning, implementation, testing, and validation, and participate in vendor relationships. Perform daily monitoring and support of the Firm’s systems and applications and ensuring availability and stability of systems. Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation. Perform daily monitoring and required maintenance to keep systems highly available, highly stable and always performing optimally, and proactively identify needs for improvements, capacity changes and upgrades. Plan and implement upgrades and patches to stay on current versions, resolve escalated cases from other Engineers and Helpdesk, and perform fault resolution and root-cause diagnosis. Maintain extensive and detailed technical documentation and provide training as needed. High school diploma degree is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is preferred. Should have 8+ years of experience with AD, compute, storage and networking. Detail technical knowledge of infrastructure products with experience in security configuration is required. In depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, network topologies is required. In depth knowledge of Multifactor authentication (MFA), M365 – exchange, OneDrive teams SharePoint is preferred.
