Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join its Commercial Real Estate Practice Group in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have four or more years of experience in commercial real estate, although this is not a strict requirement.

Duties

• Represent clients in commercial real estate acquisitions, sales, and development.
• Handle commercial leases, subleases, easements, declarations, and other title matters.
• Negotiate commercial loan terms and documents.
• Advise clients on condemnation, rezoning, and land use.
• Provide guidance on 1031 exchange, opportunity zone, and other tax issues.
• Draft joint venture documents and similar agreements.

Requirements

• 4-10+ years of commercial real estate experience preferred.
• Strong residential real estate experience, including title review and negotiation, will be considered.
• Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
• Licensure to practice law in South Carolina is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
