Job Overview:
A top-tier law firm is seeking to hire two Associate Attorneys with 2 to 5 years of tort litigation experience to join its distinguished Product Liability & Mass Torts practice group. This team handles complex and high-stakes litigation, including individual cases, class actions, and multidistrict matters for major product manufacturers. The successful candidates will play a key role in collaborative trial teams litigating in some of the most challenging jurisdictions in the country.

Location:

• New York, NY

Duties:

• Participate in litigation teams managing product liability, mass tort, and class action matters

• Draft and revise pleadings, motions, legal briefs, and other court filings

• Conduct legal research and contribute to litigation strategy development

• Assist in the discovery process, including depositions and expert witness preparation

• Communicate with clients and internal teams regarding case updates and developments

• Prepare for and support trial proceedings and settlement negotiations

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of relevant litigation experience

• Experience in mass torts, product liability, and/or toxic/environmental torts

• Background in a large law firm or comparable high-caliber litigation practice

• Strong academic credentials

• Excellent legal writing, research, and advocacy skills

• Local bar admission required in the preferred office location

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar

• Eligibility for bar admission in the jurisdiction of the selected office

Skills:

• Expertise in litigation procedures and tort law

• Strong analytical, research, and drafting capabilities

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
