Associate – Real Estate and Land Use

The candidate represents clients before local governments and state courts including hearings before city councils, boards of commissioners, and hearings officers and appeals before the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals and appellate courts. Will handle a wide variety of real estate transactions including purchase and sale agreements, commercial leasing, and real estate financing agreements. Should be a graduating or experienced attorney and have 0-3 years of experience in the practice of law. Experience or demonstrated interest in real estate transactions and development is preferred. Preference is given to candidates in the top one-third of their class. Participation in the law review and/or experience with the moot court including the Duberstein competition or trial competition is a plus. Law clerk opportunities may be available for 3L candidates. Must have excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks. The ability to work independently and collaboratively is required.
