Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Antitrust Associate to join its Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of antitrust experience, with a focus on civil litigation and class action defense. The role offers an opportunity to work on complex investigations and litigation matters involving government enforcement, antitrust counseling, and private litigation. The associate will be involved in significant casework, gaining early responsibility within a collaborative and dynamic team.

Location:
Washington, DC

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil, criminal, and congressional investigations and enforcement matters at federal and state levels.
• Work on antitrust audits, compliance programs, and antitrust counseling.
• Handle antitrust litigation, including class action defense and private treble damage cases.
• Advise on mergers and acquisitions, government investigations, and international cartel investigations.
• Participate in debarment proceedings and business antitrust counseling.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and contribute to strategic case management.
• Engage in international trade and EU regulatory matters, including state aid within the EU.

Requirements:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in antitrust law, with a background in civil litigation and class action defense.
• Strong understanding of antitrust issues, government investigations, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in handling complex litigation and investigations, with the ability to manage significant responsibility.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong writing skills.
• Large law firm experience preferred.
• Federal clerkship experience is highly desirable.
• Admission to the District of Columbia Bar is required.

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the District of Columbia Bar is required.

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral communication and advocacy skills.
• Experience with complex litigation, class action defense, and antitrust investigations.
