Job Overview: A law firm in San Francisco, CA, seeks a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its industry-leading Business Litigation practice group. This role will handle many high-stakes litigation matters for corporate clients. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding academic credentials, exceptional written and oral advocacy skills, and experience managing discovery and trial preparation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in complex commercial litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
• Manage discovery processes, including document review, depositions, and interrogatories.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies and case management plans.
• Prepare and deliver persuasive oral arguments in court and during settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to identify and address legal issues.
• Maintained and managed case files, ensuring all documentation was accurate and up-to-date.
• Assist in preparing for trial, including organizing evidence and coordinating with expert witnesses.
• Stay current with legal developments and industry trends relevant to commercial litigation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California Bar.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation, preferably at a large law firm or civil litigation boutique.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-stakes litigation matters.
• Proven experience in managing discovery and trial preparation.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California Bar.
