The candidate will maintain confidentiality and objectivity. Prepare for hearings in advance, research potential issues, guide the clients clearly and provide strategic advice. Advocate for and secure the best possible outcome for clients. Stay up to date in changes in the law. Properly advise clients on the immigration consequences associated with their case. Draft and submit motions and other filings on time - meeting internal and external deadlines. Arrive at work and court on time in professional and appropriate attire. Maintain a good rapport with clients and treat them with respect. Participate in ongoing training as required by the Firm. Participate in networking and community events as required by the Firm. Accurately and concurrently bill time. Should have J.D. and be in good standing with the State Bar of CA. Should have 1+ year of exposure to criminal law and restraining order concepts. Should have 1-5 years of Criminal Defense experience. Spanish skills are preferred.
