Duties

• Meet with clients and draft pleadings.
• Administer depositions and manage discovery processes.
• Conduct legal research and write motions.
• Make court appearances and argue motions.
• Participate in trials and interview witnesses.
• Draft agreements and negotiate settlements.
• Attend mediations and arbitrations.
• Handle family law cases and other tasks as requested by partners.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed California attorney.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Exemplary client service skills with prompt response levels.
• Desire to make court appearances and participate in hearings.
• 4+ years of experience as a licensed attorney.
• Detail-oriented with strong drafting and negotiating skills.
• Ability to communicate legal subject matter to non-attorneys.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage workflow independently to meet deadlines.
• Courtroom experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of the Code of Civil Procedure.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar license in California.
