Job Title: SIU Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm based in King of Prussia, PA, is seeking a Litigation Attorney with a minimum of four years of experience in Special Investigations Unit (SIU) matters. The position is ideal for professionals with a deep interest in fraud prevention, particularly within the insurance sector. This role involves both defense and affirmative litigation, including the prosecution of fraudulent schemes through civil claims such as those under RICO statutes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional litigation, analytical, and legal writing abilities.

Duties:

• Collaborate with SIU teams to investigate and litigate suspected fraudulent insurance claims.

• Initiate and manage affirmative litigation, including claims under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).

• Strategize litigation approaches for the defense and prosecution of claims related to BI, UM, PIP, First Party Property, Workers’ Compensation, and Transportation matters.

• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal briefs across multiple stages of litigation.

• Conduct and defend depositions and examinations under oath (EUOs).

• Appear in court for conferences, hearings, arbitrations, and trials at both state and federal levels.

• Participate in mediations and settlement discussions; draft related documentation.

• Handle complex negotiations and advocate for favorable outcomes.

• Prepare post-trial motions and support appellate procedures when necessary.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience with a focus on SIU-related matters.

• Prior experience prosecuting or defending fraudulent claims strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with RICO and other affirmative actions.

• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.

• Courtroom experience including motions, hearings, and trial support.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania.

• Additional admission in New Jersey is a plus.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing abilities.

• Advanced litigation skills including oral advocacy, depositions, and strategic motion practice.

• Proficiency in managing complex caseloads and coordinating with investigative departments.

• Excellent negotiation and analytical problem-solving skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
