Duties

• Provide legal counsel to clients in immigration matters

• Represent clients in immigration court and before the Board of Immigration Appeals

• Prepare clients for hearings and gather supporting evidence

• Draft motions, legal briefs, and supporting statements for applications and appeals

• Submit affirmative applications to USCIS

• Research immigration law and prepare written legal analyses

• Communicate with clients and maintain accurate case documentation

• Support preparation of appellate briefs and related filings

• Attend hearings and coordinate with clients and support staff

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of experience practicing immigration law

• Licensed to practice law in any U.S. state and in good standing

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet-based legal research platforms (e.g., Lexis Advanced)

• Excellent organizational and communication abilities

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active Bar license in good standing from any U.S. jurisdiction

Skills

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred (read/write/speak)

• Courtroom preparation and advocacy

• Client consultation and document drafting

• Evidence collection and legal argument development
