A law firm located in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join their team. The position involves engaging in all aspects of discovery, trial, and appellate work. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and writing.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Manage discovery processes, including the preparation and response to discovery requests.
• Conduct depositions and witness interviews.
• Participate actively in trial preparation and court proceedings.
• Assist in appellate work, including the preparation of appellate briefs and oral arguments.
• Maintain detailed case files and manage client communications.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and manage caseloads.
• Stay informed on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
• Participate in firm meetings, training sessions, and continuing legal education (CLE) opportunities.

Requirements:

• Active membership in good standing with the Missouri State Bar.
• Demonstrated ability to handle all aspects of discovery, trial, and appellate work.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Outstanding oral and written communication and advocacy abilities.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Exceptional case and client management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a demanding and fast-paced environment.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Experience:

Minimum of 1+ years of experience in legal practice, with a focus on:

• Discovery
• Trial preparation and proceedings
• Appellate work

Certifications:

Licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri.
