A law firm seeks a highly skilled Senior Litigation Attorney with over 8 years of experience to join its Litigation Practice Group in San Francisco, CA. This position is ideal for an attorney with substantial experience in complex commercial litigation, particularly involving financial institutions, commercial real estate, and loan servicing disputes. Remote candidates residing in states where the firm operates may be considered.

Duties

• Lead and manage litigation teams in complex commercial matters in federal and state courts nationwide.
• Represent financial institutions in workouts, forbearances, and foreclosures.
• Handle litigation related to commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS).
• Manage contested bankruptcy matters and loan enforcement actions.
• Defend financial institutions in lender liability actions.
• Represent clients in arbitration proceedings.
• Handle complex business disputes and commercial lease litigation.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in the state of the office location or ability to obtain promptly.
• Minimum 8+ years of complex commercial litigation experience.
• Significant experience representing financial institutions or lenders.
• Strong background in commercial real estate litigation.
• Experience managing cases independently and leading litigation teams.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.

Preferred Experience

• CMBS and loan servicing litigation.
• Distressed real estate and mezzanine loan enforcement.
• Bankruptcy litigation related to secured lending.
• Arbitration experience.
• Title insurance litigation.
