Duties:

• Manage a diverse litigation caseload from initial pleadings through to settlement or trial.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex legal matters.
• Communicate regularly with clients, external counsel, litigation vendors, and staff to ensure smooth case progression.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery.
• Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions on behalf of clients.
• Contribute to business development initiatives, leveraging local networking opportunities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in New York.
• Significant recent litigation experience in New York State and Federal Courts.
• Proven ability to manage pleading and motion practice, discovery, and negotiations.
• Trial experience is preferred.
• Strong oral communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
• Passion for the practice of law and a commitment to achieving favorable outcomes for clients.

Education:

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York.

Skills:

• Litigation experience in insurance defense and business/commercial law.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Legal research and writing expertise.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
