The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in litigation, with at least 5 years of experience handling insurance defense and personal injury cases, as well as hospital-related disputes.

Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and legal arguments, utilizing tools like Westlaw.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions for summary judgment, and appellate briefs related to insurance defense and hospital litigation.
• Take depositions and participate in mediations to support clients' cases.
• Represent clients in court by presenting evidence, negotiating settlements, and advocating effectively during trials.
• Collaborate with the legal team to develop and refine case strategies, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and procedures.
• Maintain and organize accurate case files, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and court deadlines.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in insurance defense, personal injury, or hospital litigation.
• Proven experience in litigation, including court appearances, trials, motions, and appeals.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Strong research and writing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must be licensed to practice law in New York State.
