The successful candidate will represent parents in dependency cases, including contested and uncontested hearings. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent parents in contested and uncontested dependency hearings, including detention, jurisdiction, disposition, review, and termination of parental rights.
• Interview and advise clients on the dependency process and their legal rights prior to each hearing.
• Perform comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
• Prepare writ petitions for review by appellate courts when necessary.
• Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times.
• Demonstrate punctuality, organization, and dependability in handling caseloads.
• Manage work of a confidential and sensitive nature with discretion.
• Effectively handle a high volume of cases while maintaining quality representation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong commitment to representing parents in dependency matters.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with care.
• Demonstrated punctuality, organization, and reliability.
• Experience or interest in dependency law and advocacy.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar or pending admission.

Skills:
