Duties

• Represent clients before IRS and California tax authorities in all controversy stages.
• Handle complex dispute resolutions, including audits, appeals, and penalty cases.
• Advise on employment tax controversies and international reporting.
• Serve as counsel on tax risk matters, including entity formation and restructurings.
• Collaborate on tax-efficient strategies and transaction support.
• Draft protests, memoranda, and settlement proposals.
• Work closely with the Managing Partner and team on precision-driven solutions.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) and active California Bar membership.
• 3-5+ years of experience in tax controversy and planning.
• Success in representing clients before IRS and California tax authorities.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Tax Court procedures (preferred).
• Ability to analyze and structure transactions with practical tax advice.
• Strong research and drafting skills with tax code expertise.
• Experience collaborating with CPAs and managing document-intensive matters.
• Excellent judgment, client presence, and communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school.

Certifications
