A law firm in Charlotte is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney or Of Counsel with a strong background in estate planning. The ideal candidate will play an integral role in building and advancing the firm's tax practice, with opportunities for significant client interaction and potential for long-term leadership within the firm.

Duties:

• Provide comprehensive legal counsel and representation in estate planning matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to tax law, estate planning strategies, and related areas.
• Draft and review legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning instruments.
• Advise clients on tax implications and strategies for wealth preservation and asset distribution.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient and effective client service.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting estate planning.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate or better in Law.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in estate planning.
• Demonstrated expertise in tax law and estate planning techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar (or eligibility for admission upon hire).
• Additional certifications in tax law or estate planning (preferred).
